Sunday Education for Children and Pre-Teens
We provide age-specific children’s programs during the Sunday 8:45 and 10:45 Gospel Journey sessions.
Preschoolers ages 3-5 are taught by Viola Valdez at 8:45 and Kyla Anderson at 10:45. The study is based on the “Play” from the Dwell Curriculum which focuses on 36 Bible studies from Genesis to Acts. There is also a Catechism lesson from the Westminster Shorter Catechism.
Elementary Ages at 8:45 are studying Theo Presents Bible Stories on DVD taught by our rotating Gospel Journey teachers.
Grades 1-4 at 10:45 are also studying Theo Presents Bible Stories on DVD.
Grades 5-7 Join for a our new study, What’s Up? Discovering the Gospel, Jesus, and Who You Really Are. “This study helps students understand that the Gospel is all about God making us into who He meant us to be all along. As they learn how to lean wholly (and happily) on Jesus through these formative years, their lives are changed from the inside out.”
Sundays for CCSF Youth 9:55 – 10:40 AM
Guys’ Class: Ages 12-18 in the Blackbird Room. Phil Howes will lead the class through the Tim Keller study, “Judges for You.” Judges had only one hero — God. This book is not an easy read, but living in the times we do, it is an essential study for boys in this age group.
Girls’ Class: Ages 12-18 in the Coyote Room. Heidi Cunningham and Mary Pat Rogers lead the study of Tim Keller’s Reason for God. Our prayers for this class are that our girls will grow in their faith and gain a heart filled with Christian love for one another.
