FOUNDATIONS

a

New Foundations class (formerly called Confirmation class)  is for 6th-7th graders, and teens wishing to participate.

In some denominations Confirmation class is offered to teach about the Christian faith and prepare  young students to be publicly confirmed (and become active members) by the pastor in church.  The PCA is different. We encourage your children to take communion if they have been baptized and made a profession of faith.
Once your child professes faith in Christ, Pastor Greg Schneeberger  would love to have a short meeting with you and your child to talk about it and to help  your child better understand what it means to take communion.

Because we don’t require confirmation for membership or communion we want to provide an opportunity for your children to have a concentrated time to learn more about the foundations of the Christian faith. The goal of this class is to introduce our children to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and to encourage each person to grow in their knowledge, devotion, and service to Him.

  • Who is this for? Initially this was  created for our youth 6th-12th grade, but we think perhaps others may wish to watch. Please do!

  • What is this? This class talks about the foundational elements of what it means to be a Christian.

  • Why this Class? When you say you’re a Christian that means a lot of different things and it can be hard to remember them while also trying to figure out where those beliefs land on the map of ways to live.*

  • Where is this class? We have not one but TWO ways to participate! Online & in person at church.

  • When is this class? You can watch online and in person each Sunday morning at 10am.

  • How do I choose ? Some of you wish to attend each week in person, and some still must stay home from covid concerns. Some of you wish to mix it up. If you stay home, parents are asked to watch and facilitate discussion. **For those who attend in person have a team of 7-8 adults who will share the role as facilitators each week .
